DMTI offers a variety of professional development options for schools and districts seeking high-quality and engaging learning opportunities. Contact us to arrange any of the following options.

WORKSHOPS

DMTI staff can provide 1 to 3 hour workshops in multiple settings for a variety of topics of interest. Some examples of popular topics include fact fluency, fractions, place value, geometry and assessment. For the following full day professional development, DMTI can assist educators in arranging credit options through local universities and colleges by request.

1 DAY

Professional Development Session

Educators can request a full day of professional development on any of the following topics.

Fraction Concepts Grades 3-5
Fraction and Decimal Operations Grades 4-6
Geometry and Measurement Grades K-5 or 6-8
Data Analysis and Probability Grades 6-8
Ratio and Proportion Grades 4-8

2 DAY

Professional Development Sessions

Building on similar topics offered in one day sessions, participants in two day sessions can receive not only extended learning opportunities for their desired topics but also professional development on assessment specific to the topic and receive guided planning time to apply their learning to their classroom instruction.

3 DAY

Professional Development Sessions

For educators seeking a more extensive professional development experience, three day sessions afford them the opportunity to cover multiple topics as well as aligned assessment topics. Guided planning time may also be included in the three days of work. Common topics include the following:

5 DAY

Full Semester Courses

These courses are frequently offered as 5 day (weeklong) sessions outside of regular school schedules or as a combination of weekend and evening classes throughout a semester. Participants seeking post-graduate level credits, additional assignments can be offered through partnering universities and colleges. DMTI can assist in arranging for post-graduate level credits as well as regular professional development (continuing education) credits.
